Frequently Asked Questions

Am I able to download a license to erase an offline machine?

We do not currently offer any solution to erase offline workstations via HostedErase.

Can I download my erasure reports?

Yes - You can login to HostedErase with your provided username/password to Hostederase.com, and go to the reporting tab. There you will find all of the erasure reports you have sent when performing erasures.

How do I customize my Blancco ISO to work with HostedErase?

Please see the Blancco ISO configuration tool user guide on our Software FTP (for credentials please email support@ontrack.com). After installing and running the tool, click the communication tab. Enter Hostederase.com in the Hostname/IP fand 443 in the port field followed by your username/password.

How do I send my reports to HostedErase?

Upon erasing a disk, click the Send button. It will send your erasure report to HostedErase, which can then be viewed by logging into HostedErase with your provided username/password to Hostederase.com You can also save the reports and upload them to HostedErase later, by logging into Hostederase.com and going to the reporting tab. From there you can click the Import Button on the bottom, browse to the reports and upload them.

How is the Blancco software delivered to me?

Upon purchasing our solution, you would be given login credentials to our FTP to download the software. You would be able to use this login to get the most up to date software. If you need a copy of this login information, please email us at Support@ontrack.com.
